I stuck my spuds in over the Easter weekend (April 5th i think) and they are well away now.
I planted charlotte, maris bard, blue belle (all earlies) and main crop setanta and sarpo mira. The maris bard and blue belle are way ahead of the rest, I'll have to remember that for next year. Both are well in flower now, hopefully some lovely new potatoes shortly.
I'm not sure how long to leave the earlies after they start to flower - they've only been in for 7 weeks and I thought that you usually leave earlies for at least 10 - 12 weeks. No doub't I'll start to rummage around under ground before that just to see.
