It looks like it's possibly finally warming up...
I planted out my beans and cucumbers in the last week in May and they are all really miserable... Last year I'm sure my runner beans were most of the way up my 8 foot canes by now!!
I'm going to have to plant some new gherkin cucumbers because the chilly nights (down to 4 degrees on a couple of occasions) have taken their toll and the plants weren't too happy about having upside-down plant pots stuffed over them to protect them from the gales at the start of the week.
So much for spring!!
